Building Control:
The work of the division is divided into five geographical areas.
The four most populated areas have a dedicated area surveyor reporting to the principal surveyor. Each surveyor is provided with a mobile phone for ease of contact.
Same day inspections can be facilitated subject to early notification and pre-application discussions are welcome.
The core building control system is accredited to BS.EN ISO 9001 2000.

The Planning Division comprises three sections, Development Control, Development Plans and a Technical Section, each headed by a senior officer. The District Plan was adopted on the 14th January 1997. The Development Control Section provides a responsive service and encourages pre application enquiries.
